Kim is an experienced manager who thrives at the intersection of creativity and coordination, applying her varied skills and interests to leadership roles in the Arts, Entertainment, Education, and Events.

She currently activates public spaces as Programming and Events Manager for award-winning mixed-use development Ivy Station in Culver City, planning, marketing and executing a full slate of free public programming that includes night markets, movie nights, arts and crafts workshops, live music and social dancing, animal encounters, pop-up mini golf, fitness classes, musical story time, and more.

Prior to this, she worked closely with industry professionals working in Music, TV, and Film to program and coordinate all aspects of courses in Film Scoring, Music Production, Music Business, Directing, Cinematography, and Editing at UCLA Extension, the university's continuing education division. 

 

Kim has also worked with Google’s Expeditions project, making curriculum come alive by introducing students and educators to Google Expeditions’ AR (Augmented Reality) beta technology, bringing 3D objects like the solar system, a volcanic eruption, or a Tyrannosaurus Rex into K-12 classrooms across Los Angeles.

As Head Manager of world-renowned Los Angeles professional dance studio EDGE Performing Arts Center for more than 9 years, Kim cultivated a faculty of world class choreographers and dancers, managed staff and operations, oversaw the relocation to a brand new facility, and coordinated shoots for ABC, MTV, VH1, BET, Lifetime, Oxygen, WE tv, BBC, Sundance Channel, Pantene, ELLE, and Vogue.  Her previous role as Head of the Dance, Choreography, and LA Theatre Departments at DDO Artists Agency saw her representing over 400 performers for projects including Madonna’s Confessions Tour, So You Think You Can Dance, Spider-Man 3, Dreamgirls, Hannah Montana, Wicked, Latin Grammys and campaigns for Nike, iPod, Budweiser, and Target.  As Personal Assistant to Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mandy Moore, she completed projects for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Lionsgate film La La Land, The Television Academy, and DancerpaloozaWith 14 years of experience in the commercial dance industry, Kim established herself as a respected and influential professional in the dance world.

She got her start in the entertainment industry working in London in music public relations for artists including Sheryl Crow and Weezer.  After working on set of the Revolution Studios feature film Mona Lisa Smile, filmed on her college campus, she was awarded Wellesley College's LA Film Internship grant and was placed in Revolution Studios' internship program, learning the film business through seminars with Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Mann, Michael Bay, Sir Ridley Scott, Ice Cube, and Joe Roth, rotations in Revolution's Music, Marketing, Business Affairs, Post-Production and Development departments, and by working on set of the feature film 13 Going on 30.  

She continued her industry education through an internship for a music company representing major labels and the publishing catalogs of Billy Joel and Bob Dylan for song placements in film and television.  She also worked with Dance Camera West, facilitating operations of a film festival dedicated to the exploration of dance on screen in partnership with Walt Disney Concert Hall’s REDCAT Theater, Ford Amphitheatre, and UCLA’s Hammer Museum.

Kim currently manages social media for Ivy Station and has previously served as social media manager for the nonprofit Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles, EDGE Performing Arts Center, and UCLA Extension’s Entertainment Studies department.
